As I flipped through my favorite fashion magazines, I noticed that orange is a trending color in a lot of designer’s new Spring and Summer collections. I have never particularly liked the color, but for some reason it sparked my interest. I believe that the colors you surround yourself with can affect your mood and wearing certain colors can give you confidence.Orange is a power color and a healing color. A dynamic color to be sure, orange offers more thoughtful control than explosive red. So I did a little research on the its color meaning and it turns out that you should put a little orange in your life when you want:
- to increase creativity
- to spice things up when you feel time is dragging
- to become more involved in something and
- relief from things becoming too serious
Also, it just so happens that wearing orange during times of stress, or shock can help balance your emotions. Orange can bring out the willingness to embrace new ideas with enjoyment and a sense of exploration and creative play. If you follow the theory of Chakras, orange is the color that is associated with the Sacral Hara Chakra which is sexuality and reproduction. Well if that isn’t just perfect for summer I don’t know what is!
