Today is truly a sad sad day as we lost a true Hollywood Legend and Beauty Icon to congestive heart failure. I have a special place in my heart for her, as the first perfume I ever owned as a little girl was White Diamonds.

She also pioneered the campaign against HIV and AIDS awareness in Hollywood after her good friend Rock Hudson died of the disease. The Elizabeth Taylor Aids Foundation has raised millions of dollars for the cause over the years. A magnet for publicity throughout her life, Elizabeth was legendary for her eight marriages to seven husbands, most famously to actor Richard Burton, the love of her life whom she married twice.
